Main Duties

Job Summary:

• The Human Resource & Administration Officer will oversee HR and administrative functions within the organization, ensuring smooth operations, compliance with labor laws, and efficient personnel management.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in a shipping line environment, demonstrating knowledge of maritime operations and the ability to handle HR processes in a dynamic industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Human Resource Management:

• Assist in the recruitment and selection process, including posting job ads, screening CVs, coordinating interviews, and onboarding new staff.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases.
• Administer payroll, benefits, and leave management.
• Support performance appraisal processes and employee development programs.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.
• Handle employee relations, grievances, and disciplinary actions in coordination with management.

Administration:

• Oversee day-to-day office operations, including office supplies, facilities management, and vendor coordination.
• Support senior management with administrative tasks, including preparing reports and presentations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, shipping regulations, and safety protocols.
• Coordinate meetings, training sessions, and company events.

Other Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an HR/Administration Officer, preferably in a shipping line or logistics environment.
• Strong understanding of maritime operations and industry-specific HR practices is an advantage.
• Proficient in MS Office and HR management systems.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
